The Communist and Nationalist forces agreed that they needed to put their differences aside and come together and form the Second United Front because they needed to protect their country from another invasion from Japan.

Fighting Begins Again
Even though the two parties had joined forces to fight off the second round of invasions from the Japanese, they began to resume their fighting one that the invasion had ended in 1946.

4 Years Later
About 4 years later after the fighting resumed between the two parties, most of China was taken over by the Republic of China.
